The swell of the sea is captured through the wild patterns in the Italian Olive wood grain. The soft and clean curved shape of the table’s legs reflect the way the sea shapes land in its erosion process, and how land can reclaim sea in natural ways such as longshore drift and disposition. These effects are mirrored in how the legs are made, blocking up and carving away to form natural shapes and curves. Their shape is a reminder of the gradual increase of mountains and cliffs as you travel along the coast, visible from the beach on all sides as you look west across the Atlantic sea.
The legs are shaped using template profiles for each layer and finished using sand grinding and finishing, all handcrafted with care and meticulous attention to detail.
